How to Choose an SEO Company in Queen Creek

By Jason Herbert · July 23, 2026

Choosing an SEO company is hard because you are hiring someone to do work you cannot fully see, in a field full of jargon and big promises. So you end up trusting your gut, and your gut can be talked into a bad deal by a confident sales pitch.

Let me give you a better filter. Here is what actually separates an SEO company worth hiring from one that will drain your budget, and it does not require you to become an SEO expert.

Look at their own results first

This is the fastest tell. An SEO company that is good at getting businesses found should be findable itself. Search for what they do in their area and see if they show up. Then check their own website speed at pagespeed.web.dev, because speed is a Google ranking factor and a company that sells rankings should not have a slow site. If they cannot rank and load their own site, be careful. I wrote a whole checklist on this: how to vet a marketing agency.

Demand real case studies with numbers

Ask to see results, and pay attention to whether they show numbers or just adjectives. “We drive growth” is a phrase. “We took this client from page three to the first page in ten cities” is a result. Vague case studies with no specifics usually mean there are no specifics to share. Real proof is easy to show, so a company that dodges the question is telling you something.

Ask how they report, and how often

You should never wonder what your SEO company did last month. Good ones send clear reports with rankings, traffic, calls, and leads, in plain English, on a regular schedule. If reporting is an afterthought or the reports are a wall of numbers with no explanation, you will be in the dark and paying for it.

Watch for lock-in contracts and guarantees

Two red flags live here. First, long contracts with heavy cancellation penalties. A company confident in its work does not need to trap you, it earns your renewal. Second, anyone guaranteeing the number one spot on Google. Nobody controls Google’s rankings, so that guarantee is either a misunderstanding or a lie. Real SEO earns rankings and reports honestly on the climb.

Pick someone who knows local, and knows you

National SEO and local SEO are different games. For a Queen Creek business, the map pack, Google Business Profile, reviews, and local content are what matter, and a company that lives and works locally understands your market and your customers. Ask whether they actually know the area, or whether you are just another zip code in a dashboard.

Notice whether they teach or just sell

The last filter is a feel. Does the company explain how things work and answer your questions, or does every conversation feel like a push to sign? The ones who teach tend to think long term and are comfortable showing you the how, because there is real work behind the curtain. The ones who keep everything a mystery and rush you are often protecting the fact that the mystery is the product.

Where we stand

I built That Social Geek to pass every one of these tests. You found this page, which means we rank. This site scores 100 out of 100 on Google’s speed test. Our results show real numbers, not adjectives. We report in plain English, we do not trap you in long contracts, and we are family-owned right here in Queen Creek. And clearly, we would rather teach you how to choose an SEO company than hide the ball.

Do not take my word for any of it. Run the tests. Start with our free audit and see how we work, or read our SEO services page for exactly what we do. Then go run those same tests on anyone else you are considering. The right choice usually makes itself obvious.
